START OF EACH ROUND: Please allow the group ahead to clear Lane 2 before starting.
RULES SPECIFIC TO THE FRINGE AND THE GEORGIA STATE OPEN:
TEE BOX: The official Putters League tee box starts on the concrete walkway at each lane and extends to the third grout line. Players may also use the rubber tee mat.
OUT OF BOUNDS: There is no penalty for a ball leaving the lane. Per World Minigolf Federation rules, the ball is returned to where it went out, given standard relief, and played again without penalty.
SCORING: The Georgia State Open will once again use Squabbit for tournament scoring. At least one player in each group must keep score with Squabbit.
STROKE MAX: The Georgia State Open will have a 7 stroke limit per lane.

RULES SPECIFIC TO THE FRINGE AND THE GEORGIA STATE OPEN CONTINUED:
RELIEF & SPACING: There will be rulers near the hole of each lane provided by the AMA.
Players can use these rulers or the full length of their scorecard for relief.
PUTTER & BALL: The Georgia State Open is a golf ball–only event. Players must use one PGA-approved ball per round with no switching. Players are encouraged to bring their own putters and balls, but equipment can also be provided by The Fringe.
LANE 14: There are three boxes at the top of the lane (left, center, right). From the tee, if the ball enters and stays in the center box, it’s a hole-in-one. If it enters the center box but bounces out to the flat area, the player moves to the top and taps it in for a two.
LANE 14, continued: From the tee box, if a player hits the ball leaving it anywhere other than the center box or platform in front of it, then the player must continue to play the ball until its completion in the hole. This includes the ball not making it up the ramp approach and it rolling down.
LANE 15: After the tee shot, if the ball remains under the tunnel, the player has two options: play it as it lies if it’s hittable, or take relief and move it out toward the tee box if it’s not. The next stroke is without penalty.
LANE 18 (Original skee ball style hole): This lane is not used for our tournaments.
We use the practice green as lane 18.
LANE 18 (OFFICIAL): The practice green serves as Hole 18, with a marked tee box. Facing the clubhouse, the hole is on the mound to the right; the lower holes are not used.
Thank you so much for attending and have a great tournament!
